What began as an improbable journey from the grand hills of New Hampshire to the Rockies of Colorado, from the Coastline of Florida to Virginia’s Rolling Hills, from the Valleys of Ohio to Iowa’s field, Americans re elected Obama! His story is unique, most unlikely in any other country on earth; I’m deeply moved at how much time changes things. As a financial donor and someone who personally made calls for Obama, I’m so proud of him.

I was absolutely certain that Obama would remain POTUS for another four (4) years. Perhaps, that was the reason I was quick to call this election in my very first article of 2012, precisely January 1st, 2012. It was a hard-fought contest although thanks to racism, it was

even a lot harder than it should have been or would have been for a counterpart white “Alpha Male”.

I strongly believe that the gridlock and difficulty Obama experienced both in the last four years and during his re-election campaign was

due to race. But this improbable journey wasn’t just about Obama, it was about the millions of lives across the globe that have been inspired, the glass ceiling that was shattered in 2008 and re-affirmed AGAIN in 2012; a lot of people will never remain the same again! Lesson from this historic event is simple; When opportunity meets preparation, ANYONE can record the type of success Obama has achieved in a little over 8 years. Time is a moving target and every little decision we make as an individual has the potential to launch us into the corridors of fame. Recognizing those moments and making the best out of them is our individual responsibility.

Obama definitely recognized the moment, the opportunity and seized

it. Obama was unapologetically opportunistic, a trait we MUST have to succeed! “Opportunistic “may sound negative but when captured for the right reason and the right vision, it produces the kind of result we saw in 2008 and in last night’s elections.

I’m not in ANY WAY suggesting that the decision to capture or pursue the opportunity was easy, as you might imagine, he took three (3) years (2007) to make that decision despite everyone’s call since 2004 for him to run for president. But there is no doubt that Obama was laser focused on the opportunity that had been created as a result of the 2004 speech and he knew it was up to him to make the best use of the opportunity regardless of how he does it.

For the millions he’s inspired including myself, I’m forever grateful to God and to him.

Lastly, regardless of how big your vision is, regardless of how improbable the cause is, when the cynics say it can’t be done, you and I should always respond to them in that timeless creed that sums up Barack Hussein Obama’s campaign “…YES WE CAN!!!”
